Clement to be subsequent 3rd District judge, elected without opposition
Lincoln Parish lawyer Monique Clement is established to develop into the future judge in the 4th Judicial District Court in Lincoln and Union parishes.
When qualifying for a vacant seat on the court closed July 16, Clement was the only candidate for the Oct. 9 election.
Clement was born and elevated in Thibodaux, with a family members who she described as “holding training vital.”

“They’ve tolerated my late evenings and my tense evenings and they’ve been terrific supporters of my job and me,” she reported.
Clement attended Southern College Legislation Centre, exactly where she labored as a teaching assistant in the place of contracts and family members regulation, and served as a member of the University student Trial Lawyer’s Affiliation, Moot Court Board and the Moot Courtroom Workforce.

She serves on the Loved ones Law Advisory Fee and is also a member of the Louisiana Condition Bar Affiliation, the American Bar Association, the Lincoln Parish Bar Affiliation and the American Enterprise Women’s Affiliation.

Clement credited her demeanor as getting one of her best strengths as a potential judge.
“My capability to keep relaxed and hear to all the events prior to I make a selection,” she mentioned.
Clement claimed just one draw back of future action in her profession is that she is going to miss out on the afterschool visits to her office from her daughter.
“She’s grown up below,” she mentioned. “I was listed here when she was born, and she’s form of come out in the afternoons and treats this as her dwelling.”
Clement stated she appears ahead to performing with along with the judges in the Third Judicial District.
