LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A girl was shot to death in entrance of her young daughter inside of her Sellersburg, Indiana, property Friday. And her spouse is billed with murder.
The victim has been identified as Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bennett Lewis, 32, the daughter of Tony Bennett, the previous Indiana state Superintendent of Public Instruction and previous Florida Commissioner of Schooling.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Business responded to the house in the 11000 block of Forrest Hill Circle following Lizzie Bennett’s 11-calendar year-previous daughter named to report a shooting.

Bennett Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement identified the shooter as her partner, Mac Lewis, who experienced fled. He was discovered by Sellersburg Police driving on Condition Road 60, taken into custody without having incident and charged with murder, tried murder and criminal recklessness with a firearm.
