DeSantis rips media for double common in criticism of Super Bowl celebrations

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis pushed back in opposition to customers of the press Wednesday for criticizing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ celebration right after their Super Bowl victory.

“The media is worried about that, obviously,” DeSantis explained in response to a reporter expressing problem around the Buccaneers’ celebration.

“You fellas actually love that. You you should not treatment as a great deal if it is really a quote-‘peaceful protest,’ and then it’s fantastic,” the Republican continued. “You really don’t treatment as significantly if they are celebrating a Biden election, you only treatment about it if it is persons that you really don’t like. So I am a Bucs fan. I am damn very pleased of what they did on Sunday evening.”

Mainstream media stories were being aghast at photos of celebrating enthusiasts in the streets of Tampa after the hometown Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 Sunday night. 

In advance of the match kicked off, CNN reporter Randi Kaye, double-masked and evidently distressed by the sight of admirers ingesting and not donning masks, told viewers she had asked Tampa police what they could do about the condition and quoted officers as currently being “really unhappy.”
