Florida couple attempt to run around police officer and K-9, crack into mayor’s property, authorities say

A Florida pair has been arrested right after nearly running in excess of a law enforcement officer and his K-9 husband or wife, and then breaking into a neighborhood mayor’s residence, authorities said.

A suspect, determined as 31-yr-previous Matthew Swett, was alerted to the officer’s existence and jumped into the motor vehicle. Police explained he deliberately drove at and struck the patrol car prior to speeding absent. A passenger, 32-yr-old Kaila Ellig, was also in the suspect vehicle.

Police reported K-9 Officer Joseph Elam and his associate Income tracked down the automobile and immediately after a limited automobile chase, the suspect car drove into a ditch. Officers found a knife blade in Swett’s waistband and prescription medicines in his possession, police mentioned.
