Yorktown Lions Launch Halloween Property Decoration Contest

The lookup for the spookiest home in Yorktown commenced Thursday with the start of a Halloween residence decorating contest.

The Halloween Crawl encourages residents with frightening decorating techniques to submit digital photos of their handiwork to the City of Yorktown’s submission web page.

“The Yorktown Lions will be the judges of this contest. We will push close to and consider a appear at all your amazing decorations and on the 31st we will decide on a winner,” claimed Jim Poulin, president of the Yorktown Lions. “I’m thrilled that I get to do this with the city.”

“We know Halloween this calendar year is likely to be a bit diverse with social distancing,” stated Supervisor Matt Slater. “But we’re satisfied to husband or wife with the Lions to provide a enjoyable, innovative action for the complete group. I have my costume all set for the reason that there is no purpose we simply cannot costume up or beautify safely and securely.”

The decorating contest is one of two Yorktown Lions’ Halloween plans.

Yorktown officers and Lions Club members introduced Halloween contest at City Corridor.

On October 31 the Yorktown Lions will keep a Halloween parade of vehicles at the Jefferson Valley Mall. Members are encouraged to enhance their autos and put on costumes for the socially distant function. At the stop of the parade there will be a “trunk-or-treat” co-sponsored by the Jefferson Valley Shopping mall and the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce.
